About

I've always loved dogs, and artwork. After attending Bradley University pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, I spent a few years selling miniature equestrian artwork online and at trade shows in Chicago and Lexington, KY. Even then I found ways to incorporate my passion for pets into my business venture, regularly selling pawprint ribbon pins to raise money for local dog shelters. In 2005 I left the equestrian world to work at Petsmart as a Petstylist Assistant. in 2007 I graduated from the Petstylist Academy and have been happily caring for dogs ever since! I've worked in 2 area veterinary practices: All Pets Veterinary Hospital as a kennel attendant (back in college), and Dunlap Veterinary Group as a groomer. I was also the groomer for Pooch Couture in Junction City. I've learned so much in the last decade and am constantly seeking to learn more through grooming DVDs and online message boards. I recently joined the International Professional Groomers, Inc. association and am working towards certification through their programs.

When I'm not grooming I like to spend time with my own dog, an Australian Cattle Dog mix named Deacon. I love to read and watch far too many movies and television shows.
